Pilar has permanently closed its doors on 14th Street in Washington, D.C., ending its nearly 20-year tenure as a Hemingway-inspired cocktail bar and neighborhood staple. The venue’s closure was part of a series of departures in the D.C. dining scene after serving the community since the mid-2000s.
