Penn Social Returns To Sports Bar Format As Owners Pull Back From Struggling Coffeehouse Model

Penn Social has returned to its original sports bar and event space format, phasing out the Little Penn Coffeehouse brand to focus on its roots as a downtown party destination. The venue features a subterranean live music and event space alongside a main floor equipped with arcade games, pool tables, and multiple screens for sports watch parties.

The venue, which recently underwent renovations to offer the largest dance floor in the DMV area, hosts these sessions every Friday night from January 2 through April 24, 2026.
