Amsterdam Lounge was the site of a 2020 altercation on U Street that led to the fatal stabbing of 22-year-old Dy’Mani Priestley. In a 2022 trial, a jury acquitted the defendant after surveillance footage from outside the venue suggested that another individual may have been responsible for the crime.
